Aug 19,  · Now, we know most of you watch So You Think You Can Dance for the action on the dance floor. But, sometimes there’s even more going on backstage. A number of dancers have made headlines for their.

Fox seems to have put all their eggs in one Gleeful basket this fall — everything else will likely be quickly forgotten. Weak, vague, or annoying premises; unfamiliar actors; and not a lot else. Brothers — Something about a retired NFL player moving back home to his family in Houston The Cleveland Show — An animated show about a guy named Cleveland and his son, a pair of talking religious bears, and some other Simpsons-esque characters.

Sounds like a pale imitation of one facet of Dollhouse to me. He deserves better than this. Mental — This show has already started. Something about a psychiatrist who may be as unstable as his patients. Each week, the husky hunk will wine and dine a group of curvy women to determine if they have more love to give or if they are truly more than he can handle.

As the competition narrows, he must decide if one full-figured lady has what it takes to become his true love. I am so sick of these dating shows. Past Life — This one sounds really hokey. Why would it matter? What begins as a business relationship evolves into something more complex and compelling:

Hot Sub – Ep. I’m not sure if I love the show or love that I feel guilty for loving the show but I’m enjoying it despite some of the tendencies to veer towards a Fox show, so it’s amazing what a good actress can do with some of the obvious cliched material. Not that cliches are not funny. Sometimes they can be damn hilarious! And Miss Guided mines the high school is life and life is high school metaphor to its fullest level, repeating all the embarrassments in the faculty reliving their lives in that damn hormonal angst ridden filled building.

Then there’s Kristoffer Polaha , he of the bland caucasian male love-interest potential role. Except, I kinda love him, and I love Kristoffer for doing comedy, and he makes a lovely convincing good guy. Plus, his recounting his days with the boys and making them sound gayer than it was, were hilarious line readings. Then again, they were hilarious lines! I kinda like Brooke Burns doing comedy. Yes, she still scares me , but she hinted at her comedic chops on the short lived Pepper Dennis , and while she’s certainly not at Greer, Parnell or even Polaha’s level, she’s not Britney who wasn’t totally bad herself, not great, but not bad and I commend her for doing this.

Okay, that was my guidance advice for the day. And just as ABC seems to be burning off the 7 episodes made within 3 weeks. I hope they at least give the show a longer chance for it to find it’s stability but it doesn’t seem like they will.

Even in the temporal and particulate haze of Shanghai, I knew this was a dance people were going to remember. You could pick apart this first-time partnership between the final season 2 male dancers, Travis and Benji i.

Leave a Comment The Husband: It happens every year. Just like the film industry, ideas seem to come in packs of two or three. In , Lost fever infected the networks, and three deep mystery science-fiction shows were unveiled for the season. The quality of these shows are unimportant, because they were created to either capitalize on a trend or a repair a hole missing from the schedule. This works in the film world, too. In , we had both Armageddon and Deep Impact. In we had both Capote and Infamous one was pushed back to , can you guess which?

And this is not a new concept in Hollywood. I can trace back to most years started with the studio system and can point out virtually identical films coming out within the same few months. But with television this year, two things happened: That show is called Three Rivers.

Oh, is she not terrified when she does that? And if they really want to see ratings skyrocket, add the guest judges that will leave everyone drooling for more. She also created a whole new face in the past decade, apparently. Okay, plastic surgery happens, especially in this great land of La-La. Sentenced to a life of Scientology, baby-making, and lesbian love without the fun parts.

Somehow, that made sense to us. Grow a pair of ovaries and let the kids know they effed up a pirouette or two. Instead, we got a lot of mean criticism of the dancers and, hate to say it, obnoxious banter about Broadway and how much better you are than the dancers. They needed a hug after the verbal spanking you gave them. A perfect blend of Jane Lynch sweetheart lesbutch gravitas with a dash of Sue Sylvester tell-it-like-it-is, no-nonsense feedback would make every viewer tune in from week to week.

Share This Tuesday, the “So You Think You Can Dance” top 10 competed as solo contestants for the first time this season, but the real star of the episode was a returning contestant, whose remarkable comeback was truly inspirational. But last September, he posted a shocking, heartbreaking open letter on his blog , titled “The Reason I Will Not Be An Allstar,” revealing that he’d been in a serious accident in June that had nearly ended not only his dance career, but his life as well.

In the meantime I am so lucky to be living breathing and opening my eyes every day…This is not the end. God has a plan. Tucker almost ended up in a wheelchair after breaking his spine in a car crash. Dancing a routine choreographed by Emmy-nominated Season 2 wunderkind Travis Wall, soundtracked by the exquisite “Medicine” by buzz band Daughter, and inspired by Travis’s relationship with his own adopted brother amazing Season 3 runner-up Danny Tidwell , Robert and Tucker were truly connected and emotionally invested — as evidenced by their spontaneous, weepy embrace at the end of their dance.

There wasn’t a dry eye or lump-free throat in the house. It’s a special night to see you dancing again, Robert. You were glorious,” wept judge Mary Murphy. Ironically and bittersweetly, Tucker who had been sidelined last Tuesday with a knee infection was in the bottom four this week, along with Nico Greetham, Makenzie Dustman, and Jenna Johnson. But Tucker also got another chance, when the judges unanimously decided to save him and eliminate Nico instead. Makenzie, in a split vote, was the girl who went home, against Nigel’s wishes.

It remains to be seen how far Tucker can go in this competition, after being in the bottom six or four several times, but surely seeing Robert’s example provided all the encouragement that Tucker — or any dancer, or really anyone facing any sort of hardship — needed to persevere.
